Fernando Figueroa is currently a Police Officer assigned to the Special Operations Division of the Dominican National Police.
Developed and implemented advanced training programs and curriculum focusing on close quarters combat for over 600 SWAT, Motorcycle Unit (Lynx) and Riot Control members.
Fernando Figueroa played a key role in the creation and implementation of the Gray Berets, a new tactical unit consisting of 100 National Police soldiers. This unit was established in response to the alarming increase in crime and to provide additional support to the SWAT team when needed.
Fernando Fugueroa served as Captain of the Municipal Police in La Romana, one of the largest cities in the Dominican Republic, known for its vibrant culture and tourism. Previously, I was a Lieutenant of the Municipal Police of San Pedro de Macorís.
Fernando Figueroa is currently attending American Military University, where he is majoring in intelligence. He specializes in collecting intelligence and counterintelligence.
Fernando has completed several university-level courses at prestigious institutions including John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force, Interpol-International IP Crime Investigators College (IIPCIC), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Prevention Terrorism Branch, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Center for Defense and Homeland Security (CHDS), Homeland Security (DHS), National Terrorism Preparedness Institute (NTPI), and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
Fernando is also an active instructor with the Dominican Naval Intelligence Division M-2.
For four years he worked as an officer and instructor in the Bureau of National Intelligence (DNI), giving lectures on anti-terrorist intelligence and organized crime. The DNI is the law enforcement agency responsible for investigating and combating serious and organized crime. It is the country's main investigative agency dealing with issues such as drug trafficking, money laundering, human trafficking and organized crime.
He has trained numerous intelligence agencies in operational techniques, information collection and analysis, and surveillance related to human trafficking and covert operations. This includes 40 HSI special agents.
